Questions

1) What are your initial thoughts about the passage?

2) Which of the identities of Jesus in this passage sits most comfortably (or most uncomfortably with you)? Does having such a collection of identities in such a short passage help or hinder our understand if who Jesus / God is?

3) Who are “the least of these” in our communities, and what do they need? Do we find it easy to identify Jesus among them? And ourselves? And the church?

4) This passage is often seen as a call to charity. I have explored it being about a call to inclusion. I’m sure both have their place. Can I identify ways in which I do each? Which do I find easier? What are the challenges?

5) How do we decide when / who we are able to help / include? How do we deal with the times / situations in which we see our actions or attitudes, for whatever reason, as being “more goat”?

6) Anything else?
