Matthew 13:1-23
15th Sunday in ordinary Time, year A.
Questions
1) What struck me about the text?
2) Do I find it easy to accept, in others or in myself, that "productivity" levels which vary could be seen as equally good? In what circumstances do I think I do this well (and in what circumstances do I do it badly) What helps / would help me to do this better (if I agree it is a good thing to do!)?
3) Are there times for scattering the good news indiscriminately? Are there also times for being more circumspect about how and with whom we share our good news? How do we know which is which?
4) Why is this parable explained and others aren't? What does the explanation of the parable add (or take away) from how we read it? Do you ever wish there was a similar explanation for other parables (or that this one wasn't here)? Why?
