Questions

1) What words, phrase or parts of the text strike you? What interest, inspires or confuses you?

2) What are the borderlands, the liminal spaces or times in your life? Do you find that it is easier or more difficult to encounter Jesus in them than in other times / places? Do you have examples of experiencing healing or miracles (however you understand what that means) in those places?

3) What helps us to reach beyond traditional divides to create connections with others? Are there times when feeling vulnerable or excluded from certain groups, perhaps groups where we have felt comfortable or previously belonged, helps us find communion in unexpected places or with unexpected people?

4) What helps you to feel valued or appreciated? What difference does affirmation make and how does it fit in to your understanding of how and why we are called to do good? How do we balance loving unconditionally and our need to be recognised or thanked for our actions?
