A Winter Pause

Rooted in the Christian Mystical Tradition

Sunday 13th - Friday 18th December

We have reached our maximum number of participants. Unfortunately we cannot welcome anyone else.

However, we anticipate that there may be some people who drop out, so we have a waiting list to fill any spaces which become available. If you wish to join this list then please fill in the form below, we will let you know where you are placed in the list.

We are sorry for any disappointment, and thank you for your interest.

At the darkest point of the year we invite you to take a pause.

To breath more deeply. To make some space for God.

We are partnering with JesuitsUK to offer a retreat which combines personal prayer and reflection, one to one meetings with a trained guide, and workshops with others.

In these unusual and disconcerting times it isn't possible for most of us to travel or to gather with others, so we invite you to retreat where you are.

To place this moment before God: your fear, your despair, your challenges, your joys, and your excitements.

Practicalities

Through the week you will meet with a guide to listen to you and guide your week. It will be possible to arrange these meetings around the other commitments you have.

Your guide will give you direction in how to organise your week, material to reflect on, and advice on how to use your time.

Most of the week will be in your hands, making time for individual prayer, reflection and meditation as best fits your circumstances.

Alongside this there will be a series of group meetings across the week, most of which are optional to join or not as you wish, but we ask that you commit to join the opening and closing sessions. Scroll down for the timetable.

All of the meetings will take place on zoom.

This event is for young adults aged between 18 and 40. Unfortunately we cannot accept those outside of this age range.

We are not charging to take part, but we ask that participants fully commit to the week. Please consider whether this is possible for you before registering.
