He writes: I have been a teacher, a university chaplain, a topflight footballer and am now working for the Jesuits in spirituality. One of the above isn’t true. I travel the country leading retreats for students and sometimes parishes or youth workers. I’m a member of the Green Party and CND as expressions of my understanding of Christian faith. I accept others have their own ways of putting faith into action. I’m convinced that Jesus was as much political as he was personal in his ministry. How else could it possibly be if he believed in a better world?
